Botany Woods homeowners enjoy the luxury of a community pool where they can gather with neighbors and friends. The pool area boasts a picnic shelter, a 6-lane pool, diving board, large pool deck, and a separate baby pool with the popular “mushroom” waterfall feature. Note: the pool is only open to residents of the neighborhood. Guests are welcome when accompanied by a BW resident and must pay the guest fee outlined below.
2026 Season Dates
Pool Opening Date: Saturday, May 9
The pool will open without lifeguards on Saturday, May 9th. This means everyone will be under “Swim at Your Own Risk Rules”. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult resident. Adults, you must supervise your children. We had some unsafe and rowdy behavior last summer after Labor Day. The board reserves the right to change pool hours till the lifeguards come on duty Memorial Day Weekend. The pool will open at 9am and close at 8pm every day till Friday, May 22.
On Saturday, May 23, our lifeguard team will start. After May 23, the pool will close at 9pm on Friday and Saturday evenings (8pm weekdays). If you forget these hours, you can access this information on the neighborhood website. If you are an early morning lap swimmer and need a key, please reach out to Grant Varner, our new Recreation Chair (864-363-8530).

Fire-pit and TVs at the Pool Shelter
The pool shelter, fire-pit, grills, and TVs are a perfect place for residents to gather with friends and enjoy some warmth.
- Replace the cover on the fire pit when you leave
- If the trash is full, please take it to the dumpsters around the wall from the grills
- The shelter can be reserved for private use by contacting Grant Varner. His number is in the directory or you can send him a message through the contact us form.
Pool Rules
Here are a few general rules for the pool:
• Children under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
• The baby pool is reserved for children aged 6 and under.
• The gate needs to remain closed at all times.
• Homeowners must sign in. Cost is $3 per guest/per day.
• Glass is not allowed around the pool or on the pool deck.
