General Homeowner Guidance
The purpose of this page is to address some general property maintenance, appearance, and general use topics when living in Botany Woods. All of the guidance is based on our covenants. More information can be found by logging in and navigating to our covenants and bylaw pages.
Vegetation/Landscaping
- Overgrown vegetation should be pruned back to appropriate levels or removed entirely. Please be mindful of vegetation extending over property lines causing hardships for other property owners.
- All invasive weeds/trees should be eradicated where possible to prevent spread throughout the neighborhood
- All visible tree stumps should be removed
- General cleanliness and well-kept properties are requested. Please move visable trash to the curb on trash pick-up day or keep boxes and trash out of the line of sight.
Trailers, Campers and Boats
- Trailers, campers, and boats need to be kept out of sight or stored off site
Lot Usage
- All numbered lots shall be used exclusively for single family residential dwellings
- No trailer, basement, tent, shack, garage, barn, or other outbuilding erected upon any lot shall at any time be used as a residence, either temporarily or permanently
- No house trailer or mobile home shall be placed on any lot either temporarily or permanently
- No noxious or offensive activity shall be carried out on the property, nor shall anything be done thereon which ma bye or become a nuisance or menace to the neighborhood
- No numbered lot or any part thereof should be used for any business or commercial purpose or for any public purpose
- All fuel oil tanks or containers shall be covered or buried underground consistent with normal safety precautions
- No animals shall be kept, maintained or quartered on any lot except cats, dogs, and caged birds may be kept in reasonable numbers as pets for the pleasure of the occupants
